Care and support committee

The Committee is looking for customers who can:

  • Commit to 4 meetings a year in Chelmsford
  • Prepare for those meetings by reading reports (help can be given)
  • See the bigger picture – not just concentrate on local issues that affect you but rather improve the whole service for everyone
  • Be able to communicate and ask questions
  • Attend some training workshops to help you work better
  • Work in partnership with staff

The committee will cover the following:

  • Improve services and customer satisfaction and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Improving communications
  • Encouraging customer involvement and volunteering, training and employment
  • Promoting the care & support service
  • Raising strategic issues of concern
  • Monitoring Care & Support performance information and complaints
  • Feeding into the care & support asset management programme
  • Monitoring of Care & Support complaints and any lessons learnt from these
  • Involvement in staff recruitment for the service
