Community centres

Genesis runs a number of community centres which host events and groups for local  residents as part of our opportunities for life programme. 

Residents and community groups can use the centres for their own events, often at cheap rates. Genesis staff can offer advice on how to set up an organisation and get funding.

Hartspring Lane

North Bushey, Hertfordshire

Hartspring Lane centre can accommodate up to 60 people, with full disabled access including toilets, and kitchen facilities. It has adult and children's tables and chairs, an outside patio and a small car park.


Hertsmere children's services operate out of the centre providing various services to local families. There is also a daily after schools club, twice weekly yoga lessons, tai chi, Zumba dancing, general fitness and boxercise sessions. The hall is available for hire and is ideal for young children's parties.

The Vale

Carlton Vale, South Kilburn

The Vale has a capacity of 60 people, with disabled access and toilets, tables and chairs, kitchen facilities and an outside terrace. The hall is available for hire for groups and individual events.

At present the centre hosts several community groups, including the Kilburn Consortium for Unity, a mums and toddlers session, older peoples’ activities, Christian Fellowship, Arabic classes, and arts and crafts.

A weekly Genesis surgery on Tuesdays offers advice on employability and tenancy issues. Call for more information.

Savoy Court

North Harrow

Savoy Court can accommodate up to 80 people and is ideal for training and educational workshops and meetings. There is a kitchen, disabled access and toilet, tables and chairs. The hall is available for hire.

Phoenix

Bushey, Hertfordshire

The Phoenix is managed by the local residents' association and can accommodate up to 30 people, with disabled access and toilet, kitchen, tables and chairs, and a small outdoor terrace.

There is currently a children's nursery during weekday term time in the centre and other activities include dance classes and residents’ quiz nights. There are regular youth activity sessions on Friday nights.

Mulberry Court

Neasden

Mulberry Court community centre is a converted apartment located on the Mitchelbrook estate in Neasden. It can accommodate up to 12 people and is available for local community activities. There are chairs and tables and a kitchen facility on the premises.  No disabled access.

Donnington Court

Willesden

There is a small community space available in the Donnington Court development in Willesden. This is suitable for activities for up to 12 people but is only available to residents on the development. Chairs and tables are available and there is a kitchen facility. There is no disabled access to this centre.
