Future jobs funds  

Genesis Community has matched 12 positions for young people as part of the Future Jobs Fund Programme.  Participants in the programme have to be between 18-24 years old and must have been on Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) for at least 6 months.  Genesis Community has offered these 12 posts to young people in the local community to help improve their life chances through providing them with the opportunity to gain work experience.  As well as offering a comprehensive training programme for their personal and career development; we aim to equip them to take control of their futures as they find stimulating and rewarding careers.

Moshtak Ahmed, one of our Future Jobs Fund candidates on a previous intake described the opportunity given to him by Genesis Community. "The Future Jobs Fund has given me a chance I otherwise would never have had.  It has given me lots of valuable skills that I can utilise in the future."

Genesis Community recognises the need for young people to have solid work experience to help them get full time employment.  We are committed to working within local communities to provide young people with the tools and skills needed to pursue careers in areas that they are passionate about.
