Genesis Business Manager honoured as Top 10 Diversity
Genesis Business Manager Miles Lanham was

British LGBT Awards on Friday evening (12 May).

his Top 10 trophy at a special awards event at London’s Grand
Connaught Rooms. He was recognised on account of his tireless
efforts to champion LGBT issues for Genesis staff, customers and
the wider housing sector on top of a busy day job.
Miles chairs Genesis’ LGBT staff network,
G-Force, which runs a wide programme of events and meetings
including activity marking LGBT History Month and annual attendance
at Pride London. G-Force was highly commended by Stonewall in
He is also heavily involved with the LGBT
Residents Forum, which meets regularly and discusses how to best
support LGBT customers, including through improving responses to
social isolation and hate crime.
Miles co-founded the cross-sector LGBT network
HouseProud, which now has 41 organisations affiliated and a
separate group in North-west England.
He said: “I am really flattered to be in the
top 10 diversity champions with such significant employers as
Goldman Sachs and the Royal Navy. None of this would have been
possible without the freedom and support I consistently get at
Genesis, who take the lead in the sector on LGBT inclusivity with
our staff and customers.”
