Genesis Wellbeing Fund

Genesis is launching a new Wellbeing Fund for local organisations that have a commitment to supporting residents to improve their life opportunities.

In 2015/16 at least £130,000 will be available for grants between £5,000 and £50,000 to support projects that will benefit Genesis residents in one or more of the following areas:

  • Employment, training and skills – projects supporting residents into training, education, and jobs
  • Enterprise – projects that support residents to set up their own businesses
  • Financial Inclusion – projects that tackle financial poverty
  • Volunteering – projects that encourage volunteering for wellbeing and a way into employment
  • Mental and physical wellbeing – projects that support communities and promote inclusion
  • Greener communities – projects aimed at saving energy, reducing emissions and fuel poverty

Genesis has a strong interest in investing in projects that enrich our residents and communities in order to increase their economic and social wellbeing.  The Genesis Wellbeing Fund will support organisations and projects with the necessary skills, experience and networks needed to successfully deliver their proposal.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for consideration for our new Genesis Wellbeing Fund please ensure the following:

1. That you have read the Wellbeing Fund guidelines

2. You have met with a Genesis staff member who will sponsor your project PRIOR to submitting a grant application.

3. Your proposal will improve the life of residents within at least one of our key locations. This includes (but not limited to):  Woodberry Down (LB Hackney), Grahame Park (LB Barnet), Harrow Road (LB Westminster) and LB Newham.

4.  Your organisation is NOT already under review for a Genesis Community Foundation grant.
