I am receiving funding from other organisations/I am applying for funding from other organisations. Can I still apply to GWF?

Genesis Wellbeing Foundation will not fund projects that are already receiving money from any other source. You must tell us if you are receiving funding from another source, or have applied for funding from another source, as this could affect your eligibility for GWF funding for your project.

Will Genesis Wellbeing Foundation support projects in any area of the country?

All projects must take place in one or more of Genesis’ operational areas. If a project has no direct benefit to Genesis residents it is not appropriate for funding from the Foundation.

Can I appeal against the Board’s decision?

All submissions will be given careful consideration in line with our selection process and therefore the decision by the Board is final.

How soon will you respond to my email?

The GWF team will respond to your email within 2 working days.

Can I apply if the organisation does not have a bank account?

At the time of submitting your application, you will need to supply bank account details. If this is not available, we will be unable to consider your application as we require all sections of the form to be completed. It may be more appropriate for you to submit in an application in a future round.

Are awards available for individuals or a family?

GWF does not fund individuals or a family. All projects must benefit groups and/or communities which include Genesis’ residents

Can I make more than one application in a Funding round?

Yes this is fine providing the applications for projects are clearly distinct and the combined values do not exceed £50,000.

I need to discuss my application on the phone with someone from the Genesis Wellbeing Foundation?

We are unable to discuss applications in detail over the phone as we have provided guidance and information about the GWF on the website. Applicants can read through the inforamtion provided on our website and guidance notes and consider if it is appropriate to apply to the Foundation.

Does GWF fund salaries/staff costs?

GWF does not fund ongoing staff costs or overheads. GCF funding is only suitable for staff costs that are directly associated with the proposed project.

Can we submit a joint application?

Yes you can but there must be a lead organisation on the application form. Funds will only be paid to one organisation and the milestones must be for the project rather than each organisation.

Can the GWF provide information to support my application?

We do not provide research to support your application as we expect applicants to provide evidence of need for their project.

Can you send me a list of Genesis addresses in borough(s) I want to work in?

We are unable to provide a list of addresses as this information is classed as ‘personal data’ and protected under the Data Protection Act.

How long can our project run for?

We will support any project that is for a fixed period of time. We will not consider funding projects that are ongoing.

Can we send a completed application by post?

All completed application forms must be emailed to GWF@genesisha.org.uk
