Grahame Park gets a GLA guest

What’s going on over at our Grahame Park development? Well, lots. And one person who got to see firsthand the extent of the progress over in Colindale was David Lunts from the GLA. David, Interim Executive Director of Housing and Regeneration - which means, he’s helping the GLA get ready for when it takes on the Homes and Communities Agency’s housing function – got in touch with the team over in NW9 about the busy work they’ve been up to, not least being shortlisted to receive the HCA’s Get Britain Building fund, so they decided to invite him up to have a tour around the site.

And some great sights there were to see. The Grahame Park team along with John Carleton, Managing Director of Genesishomes and Tracy Williams, Genesis Deputy Director, took David along with members of Barnet Council to see the first phase of the development, and they even got to have a peek in one of the social rent homes which are going to be handed over soon.

After the tour, David sat down with the team and heard about the work to come. He also heard about how the HCA’s funding would transform the estate into a hive of shops and community centre. There was also discussion about Genesis’ work tying in closely with Barnet Council’s ‘Colindale Action Plan’, which is helping to give the area the boost it deserves.
