Central Chelmsford

Apartments in Central Chelmsford

In November 2012, Genesis was granted planning permission for the former Anglia Ruskin University site in central Chelmsford.

This major project will see the heart of Chelmsford redeveloped into a mixed use residential scheme creating over 500 homes.

Once finished it will offer a new commercial centre which will include office, retail and community units. We are retaining and refurbishing three historical buildings in the area which will serve for a variety of uses.

The development is part of the wider regeneration of Chelmsford and is a commutable destination in and out of London.

Development for the first of the two phases started in 2012. In total the first phase will deliver 219 homes including 65 extra care homes.

In addition three historic buildings, Anne Knight, Frederick Chancellor and the Law building, will be refurbished, and new retail space created.
