Development
Construction is progressing well, and 131 of the rented units
(including 67
on Affordable Rent) and eight shared ownership homes were handed
over in
November 2011. This first phase, in blocks F and G, was formally
opened by the
Mayor of Newham in December 2011.
Commercial negotiations are being finalised to provide a Tesco
Metro on site. Newham PCT has also confirmed their interest in
taking two commercial units and negotiations are progressing.
Progress
All rented apartments have been let, and reservations on four of
the shared
ownership homes have been achieved. The balance of the affordable
units is
anticipated to handover in Q4 of this year. A temporary management
suite has
been set up on the project until the permanent office is completed
in the
coming months. The sales team have progressed the sales and
marketing
strategy, with an on-site sales suite built at the start of the New
Year.
