  • families with childcare difficulties.

Floating support

Our floating support services aim to provide support to vulnerable people who are is crisis or at risk to enable them to sustain independent living.  Support is to provide short term, with intensive and focused interventions. The support staff work with small caseloads of clients to reduce and manage these risks to clients and to their housing, and is delivered through effective risk management and support plans agreed with client.

We work closely in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies and other local partners in order to ensure that we provide effective support and deliver the outcomes that are highlighted when individuals are referred to these services.

Assessment team

As part of the Tenant Support Team, we have specialised assessment workers who undertake needs and risk assessments of Genesis residents to identify vulnerability and support needs for referral both to internal and external floating support services and to statutory care services.

Support coordinators for older people

We also provide a specialised assessment and support service for older general-needs residents of Genesis.  This service seeks to ensure that older people are able to access appropriate care and support services so that they can remain living in independent housing.  The service also seeks to assist socially-isolated older people in accessing local, community to encourage social and leisure participation.
