Care Quality Commission
Genesis care services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which is the independent regulator of care services in England. The CQC is in place to ensure services provided are safe, effective, compassionate, high quality and continue to improve. Our CQC ratings are displayed below and you can read more about these services by visiting our page on their website.
Setting standards for retirement communities
Genesis is an approved subscriber to the Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO), a trade body which sets standards and guidance for the sector. The ARCO consumer code provides member organisations like Genesis with expected ARCO standards and offers best practice guidance and tools.
We seek to ensure compliance with the ARCO consumer code in our Extra Care services. Residents can view the code online; it is also displayed in each of our registered services or available from staff on request.
Pan-London Dementia Action Alliance
Genesis is a member of the Pan-London Dementia Action Alliance, working in partnership to transform health and social care outcomes for people affected by dementia. Our practices are informed by those living with dementia and those that care for them.
Genesis offers a large portfolio of agency-managed housing, where other providers deliver care and support services in our buildings. We believe in supporting specialist agencies to provide targeted services needed by the local community, and are happy to have conversations with specialist providers who are seeking property solutions to sustain their services.
